McDaniel will not return as IU D-line coach

Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson announced today that defensive line coach Larry McDaniel will not return to the staff for the 2016 season. He was a member of the IU coaching staff for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Before coming to Bloomington he was at Bowling Green from 2011-13. He has also spent time at Kent State University (2003-10), Ball State University (1999-2002), Southwest Missouri State University (1998) and at Indiana (1997).

McDaniel was a four-year starter for the Hoosiers at nose tackle from 1989-92, and he was a team captain in his senior season at Indiana. McDaniel graduated in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana defensive line coach Larry McDaniel will not return for the 2016 season, head coach Kevin Wilson announced Monday. McDaniel spent the 2014 and 2015 campaigns with the Hoosiers.

"We want to thank Larry for his contributions to our program,” Wilson said. “He has represented IU well as a coach and former player. We appreciate Larry’s efforts and wish him and his family the very best.”
